Surveys
A survey about poverty was made to 27 people, from which the following answers were obtained:
As shown in fig. 1, 74.1 % of the survey takers are 19, 20 or 21 years old.

As shown in fig. 2, 16 people of the 27 that answered this survey, are from Mexico. 4 are from the United States and the rest are from countries like Chile, Uruguay and Canada.

As shown in fig. 3, when we asked if they had done anything for the poor or to fight poverty, people on the survey answered what have they done. The results were the majority has done volunteering in different ways. The rest of the people donate clothes and food and help Institutions like Food Banks, orphanages and City centers.

As shown in fig. 4, the majority of the people think that the main reason why poverty exists is because of the lack of jobs and opportunities for everybody. Also, many people believe that education is a great factor when it comes to poverty. As for the last reason, given by 8 people, the government and social systems plays an important role in poverty.

When we asked “what does poverty mean to you?”, people on the survey answered that the lack of education brings poverty into societies. And that also, and very important, the complications in getting any basic resources like clean water, food, money, jobs, housing, etc; is what they define as poverty.
86. 6 % of the people answered that they were not aware of the poverty rates in their country. This shows uniformed societies that long term end up not being able to help the ones in need around them, because of they are not aware of the facts.
